WATER OVER ROCKS

Written by Sarah Beth Terry &

WATER OVER ROCKS

Just stand there

Don’t move

Every little single thing you do

Makes me shiver

Makes me shiver

The touch that I crave

Breaks against me like a wave

Upon the river

Upon the river

Pull me down

Watch me drown

Like water over rocks

It’s the smooth it’s the ebb and flow

I’m caught up in the undertow

I don’t know that Im sinking until there’s no more air to breathe

Like water over rocks

You wear me down til I’m in the shape I’m in

You turn me over and over again

The rush, of the white water washing over me

The constant, the tug

Like I can never get enough

The way you pull me

You move me

I’m not meant to stay afloat

All the ripples rock the boat

And crash into me

Never More

Will I reach the shore
